I began my Reiki journey in 1996, when feeling drained and grieving the loss of her mum who had just passed away, I went for a massage and also received my first Reiki healing experience.
I left feeling like I was walking six inches [15cm] above the ground. It was a beautiful gift from my mum. For the next 18 months, in one way or another, Reiki kept reappearing in my world. I finally stopped resisting and in April 1998 my journey of self-discovery began.
Initially, I studied the western way of Reiki with three different masters. In 2006 I travelled to Australia and re-sat my Reiki Level 3 with the International House of Reiki. While doing so I experienced a feeling of ‘coming home’.
I have enjoyed a long career as a Reiki practitioner and had the privilege of spending seven years supporting terminally ill patients to find peace and calmness.
Teaching Reiki is hugely rewarding for me. My aim is to provide students with the most comprehensive and up to date information about the teachings, as well as a strong energetic connection to the founder Usui Mikao.
I learned reiki from Julie Anderson in 2017 , completing Shinpiden Reiki Level 3 in Oct 2021. In addition to reiki healings, I also teach reiki with Julie.
Having experienced some very stressful life events the past few years, reiki provides me with the ability to manage my stress levels, stay calm and focus while under pressure, care for my family with reiki, and to connect with some truly beautiful people. I love being able to share and offer these benefits to others with reiki healings or teaching.
I have personally experienced the healing of my knee pain of several years and am still working on myself and my journey to health. I have been teaching adults for years and being able to teach with Julie and share reiki is now one of my passions.
My other interests are natural health, essential oils, and cooking form scratch with whole food.
